Banana Bread for the Body, Mind & Soul
You Are as Good as You Eat — So Eat Great Banana Bread!
Healing the whole self isn’t just about yoga, journaling, or buying that seaweed-infused face mist your cousin swore by once. It’s also about what you feed yourself—mind, body, and soul...
We believe in nourishment that feels good, tastes amazing, and brings a moment of joy to your day. And sometimes, healing looks a whole lot like a warm, golden loaf of banana bread sitting on your counter, making your whole house smell like a hug.
This banana bread recipe has been a family favorite for years. It’s moist, flavorful, and just sweet enough to satisfy that 3pm existential snack craving. Best of all, it’s nearly impossible to mess up. If you can mash a banana and stir things in a bowl, you’re halfway there.
So tie on your apron, cue up some soothing tunes, and let's heal—one slice at a time. Enjoy!
This will take you a little over an hour, and make 12-15 servings.
Ingredients:
• 3 ripe bananas (the browner, the better)
• 1/3 cup melted butter
• 1/2 to 3/4 cup sugar (depending on how sweet your soul feels today)
• 1 egg, beaten
• 1 tsp vanilla extract
• 1 tsp baking soda
• Pinch of salt (just like life—needs balance)
• 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
• Optional: chocolate chips, chopped nuts, cinnamon
Instructions:
1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a loaf pan or line it with parchment paper.
2. Mash the bananas in a large mixing bowl. Mash them like you're letting go of your last bad decision. Get into it.
3. Add the melted butter, stir until the mixture says, “Hey, I’m creamy and dreamy.”
4. Toss in the sugar, egg, and vanilla. Stir it all together like you’re mixing magic (because you are).
5. Sprinkle in the baking soda and salt. Stir again. You're building chemistry—literally.
6. Fold in the flour until everything’s blended but still a little lumpy
7. Add your extras. Chocolate chips? Always a good decision! Nuts? Crunchy healing. Cinnamon? Yes, chef.
8. Pour into your prepared pan and slide that baby into the oven.
9. Bake for 50–60 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out mostly clean (a few crumbs are okay)
10. Cool, slice, and serve with love, butter, or both. Bonus points if you eat it warm with someone you adore—even if it’s just your dog.
Final Thoughts:
Healing isn’t always green smoothies and kale. Sometimes, it's a thick slice of banana bread, still warm, eaten slowly with a quiet cup of tea and a loud laugh. Feed yourself well—in every way.
Enjoy this recipe from our heart to yours. 💛
And remember: You are as good as you eat. So go be delicious.
